The hubs and I certainly can look back on this past year and praise God for all the wonderful 'things' that have happened to us. But what really are we thankful for?
Today, I am thankful for something that I wasn't too thankful for back in April... that being our infertility. There are days when I'm not as thankful for it, but I am today. God has an incredible plan and journey planned out for us. Throughout the adoption process the hubs and I have been blessed to dig deeper into who we are as a couple, why we love each other and really get into our hearts. We have felt incredibly loved and cherished by people around us. It has allowed us to start the adoption process and really learn what adoption is all about and how our lives will be blessed and impacted by people we have never met.
Just over a month ago friends and family gathered around us and celebrated our adoption process by helping us to create a video. I want to share it with all of you! The video is a part of our profile book/online profile with our agency. It portrays who we are and how incredible our family and friends are!
This week I challenge you to find things that you are thankful for in the uncommon places of your life. Think about how situations are impacting you not only today, but in the future. The hubs and I are incredibly thankful to know that somewhere out there, there is a plan for our child to be in our arms, someday! Until they we are thankful for the full nights of sleep, our alone time and really the freedom that we have... but we are patiently waiting for the day when we get that email/phone call! God willing, this will be my last Thanksgiving talking about the waiting process!
